Each city outline is clipped to land, so ocean, harbour and lagoon areas inside the official city limits are removed. Far-off islands are dropped, nearby islands become their own pieces, and fragile necks are reinforced so the map survives cutting from wood or acrylic.
What is in each city download?+
Every map comes as a layered kit: a rounded backer board with an engraved title, an optional hidden spacer, and the cut-out map that glues onto an engraved outline on the backer. There is also a one-piece version for a single material. All of it comes at 8x10, 11x14, 12x16 and 16x20 inches, standard frame sizes that fit common laser beds, with line detail tuned for each size. Red lines are cuts and black lines are engraving, so LightBurn, xTool and Glowforge separate the operations automatically. In the backer, major roads and the coastline continue faintly to the frame edge.
What road types are shown?+
The maps are derived from OpenStreetMap roads. Major routes receive stronger visual weight while side streets and pedestrian ways create the fine background texture.
Can I request a city that is not included?+
Yes. Use the Request a Map button to suggest a city. Popular requests are prioritized for future collection updates.
What does the commercial license allow?+
It allows unlimited physical products made from the maps, including engraved wood maps and printed wall art. It does not allow resale, sharing, or redistribution of the SVG or other digital source files.
