Laser Cut Earring Holder Generator
A display panel with rows of small stud holes and notched slots for hook and dangle earrings, held between two side stands that lock into a base. Set the size, lean and rows, add a ring tray across the front, and engrave a name in the band at the top.
Presets
Size
Width of the display panel, between the two stands.
Height of the display panel along its face.
How far the display leans back. 10 to 15 degrees keeps hooks hanging straight.
Plain wood above the holes, for a name or logo.
Stud holes
0 for hooks only.
Centre to centre, across and down. 8 to 10 mm fits most studs side by side.
Earring posts are about 0.8 mm; 1.5 mm lets them through easily.
Hooks
Slots for hook and dangle earrings. 0 for studs only.
From one hook row to the next: how long a dangle can be.
Small notches along each slot hold the hooks apart.
Ring tray
A low lip across the front of the base for rings and earring backs.
Material
Enter your real sheet thickness; 3 mm plywood is often 2.8 to 3.2. Cut a test corner before the full box.

- Fit the display panel and the tray lip between the two stands, with the side tabs through the stand slots. Then press the stands' bottom tabs into the base.
- The slots in the stands are cut at 12 degrees, so the panel leans back on its own.
- The base keeps the stands from spreading, so the holder stays together without glue. A drop of wood glue in the base slots makes it permanent.
- Holds about 40 pairs of studs and 32 hook earrings (16 pairs). Studs push through the small holes from the front, with the backs on behind; hooks hang through the slots, the wire resting in a notch.
- Test-cut one stand and a strip with a few stud holes first: the tabs should push in by hand and an earring post should pass through a hole. Adjust the kerf if not.
- The tray in front holds rings and loose earring backs. Engrave the top band, the tray front, or both.
The parts need a bed of about 444 x 277 mm. Check it against your laser, or cut in two sheets.
Your download is the flat cut sheet. Switch to it to drag an engraving into place.
Good for
- Jewelry organizers for a dresser or vanity
- Craft-fair and market-stall earring displays
- Personalized gifts with a name on the top band
How it works
- Set the size. Pick a preset or type your own measurements. Every box is drawn to your real material thickness.
- Personalize it. Add a name, a message or an image, drag it into place, and see it on the box before you download.
- Download and cut. The SVG imports at true size in LightBurn, xTool Creative Space and Glowforge. Cut a test corner first if you are unsure of your kerf.
FAQ
Does it need glue?
No. The panel and tray lip tab into the side stands, and the stands tab into the base, which keeps everything locked. A drop of glue in the base slots makes it permanent.
How big are the stud holes?
They default to 1.5 mm, which lets a typical earring post through. You can set 1.2 to 3 mm; the tool refuses holes too small for your kerf to cut cleanly.
How do hook earrings hang?
Each hook row is a slot with small notches along its top edge. The hook goes through the slot and the wire rests in a notch, and you choose how much room dangles have below each row.
What material should I use?
3 mm plywood suits most studs, since earring posts are only about 10 mm long. Thicker wood works but leaves little room for the backs.
How much does it cost?
Your first download is free with a free account, engraving included. After that, 10 exports are $5, or $19 unlocks unlimited downloads for life. An export covers both the SVG and the DXF of the same design, and downloading it again is free.
Does it work with LightBurn, xTool, Glowforge and OMTech?
Yes. The SVG is in millimetres and imports at true size. Cut lines are red and engraving is filled black. The DXF is R12 for RDWorks and CAD software.
What kerf should I use?
Start with 0.15 mm for a CO2 laser or 0.08 mm for a diode, and cut a test corner. Every part is drawn half a kerf oversize so the joints press-fit.
Are my designs and logos uploaded?
No. The boxes, the engraving and any image you add are all handled in your browser. A saved draft stays on your device so your work survives signing in and checking out.
