Laser Cut Wine Bottle Sleeve Generator
A thin plywood sleeve that curls around a standing bottle, closed with a tab, with a flat front panel kept free of hinge cuts so an engraving stays clean. Enter the bottle size and the sleeve height; the hinge section is sized for the bend.
Presets
Bottle
Measure where the sleeve will sit, usually the widest point.
Most 750 ml bottles are straight for about 200 mm below the shoulder.
Sleeve
The flat engraving face, as a share of the bottle's girth. Wider makes a deeper D shape.
Material
Enter your real sheet thickness; 3 mm plywood is often 2.8 to 3.2. Cut a test corner before the full box.
Personalize
Engrave a name, monogram, message or your own logo on any face. Preview it here for free.
Your first wine bottle sleeve download is free, engraving included.
Fits on 330mm x 277mm sheet (13.0" x 10.9")
- Sleeve 313.7 mm long seam to seam (the bottle's girth is 241.9 mm; the rest makes room for the flat front and its two bends).
- The front plate is 72.6 mm wide and stays flat, with no hinge cuts: engrave it. The blue lines are hinge cuts; cut them before the red outline.
- Wrap it with the engraved face out and close the seam at the back by pressing the dovetail tabs into their sockets from outside.
- Glue the base inside the bottom edge, its straight side behind the front plate. It holds the D shape, so the front stays flat.
- Needs a physical test cut: hinge flex varies with the sheet. Cut a short strip of the hinge from your actual material and wrap it round the bottle before cutting the whole sleeve.
- The sleeve is 319.7 x 180 mm; check that it fits your laser bed.
Drag an engraving in the preview to move it.
Good for
- Gift wrap that is a keepsake
- Table-top wine presentation
- Branded bottle sleeves for events
How it works
- Set the size. Pick a preset or type your own measurements. Every box is drawn to your real material thickness.
- Personalize it. Add a name, a message or an image, drag it into place, and see it on the box before you download.
- Download and cut. The SVG imports at true size in LightBurn, xTool Creative Space and Glowforge. Cut a test corner first if you are unsure of your kerf.
FAQ
How does the sleeve bend?
A living hinge is a pattern of short cuts that lets plywood flex. The generator works out the bend from the bottle diameter and your material thickness, and warns you if the bend is too tight for the wood.
Where does the engraving go?
On the solid front panel, which has no hinge cuts through it, so the artwork reads cleanly.
Do I need a test cut?
Yes. Cut one sleeve in scrap first. Plywood varies a lot in how tightly it bends, and a test saves a full sheet.
How much does it cost?
Your first download of each box type is free, engraving included. After that, 10 exports are $5, or $19 unlocks unlimited downloads for life. An export covers both the SVG and the DXF of the same design, and downloading it again is free.
Does it work with LightBurn, xTool, Glowforge and OMTech?
Yes. The SVG is in millimetres and imports at true size. Cut lines are red and engraving is filled black. The DXF is R12 for RDWorks and CAD software.
What kerf should I use?
Start with 0.15 mm for a CO2 laser or 0.08 mm for a diode, and cut a test corner. Every part is drawn half a kerf oversize so the joints press-fit.
Are my designs and logos uploaded?
No. The boxes, the engraving and any image you add are all handled in your browser. A saved draft stays on your device so your work survives signing in and checking out.
